Plot Summary
The school is under crisis extracurricular activities have been cut and most of the teachers replaced. The new superintendent is set out to destroy the school. The kids are not ready to bend the knee and set out to look for some help. They find Betty and Lunch Lady who have been cut from the schools budget as well. They discover that everyone that has been hired to the school now is a convict and even the superintendent is lying about her credentials. The Lunch Lady defeats the superintendent who is actually Van Grindheimer a previous student. Grindheimer was bitter for being bullied and not winning the science fair when she was a student. However, her efforts are not enough and is defeated by the lunch lady, students, custodian, and even the librarians teaming up together.

Critical Analysis
The Krosoczka’s book shows teamwork, adventure, heroism, and courage from its main characters. The main character the Lunch Lady is wallowing at home depressed for the school budget had put her out of a job. Students worried about the school along with Betty seek her and take her out of the slump she is in. They create a plan to round up the student and take out the villains from the school. The story is fun and has adventure that will intrigue young readers. This graphic novel gives a comic book feel that will attract readers. There are numerous illustrations that come with each text. The books is like watching a short film for the text is well played out in the pictures. Through reading the story one comes to understand how other books written by the author tie into this story. Previous villains and other characters come into the story. The best part is that one does not have to read all other series of books to understand what is going on.
